WHAT A HISTORY

Let us explore the history of this beautiful family owned hotel.

ABOUT US THEN

Lunan House was built in 1820 as a small family home.  In 1850 it was extended for a larger family and their servants. To accommodate them all the house had to grow.  Remaining a family home until 1948 until it then became a hotel.

ABOUT US NOW

Lunan House Hotel was re-purchased back into the Imrie's family in 2016.  This became an opportunity to restore this beautiful building and its 5 acre gardens back to their former glory.  The new addition of the herb garden now supplies the hotel kitchen from where our delicious meals are cooked.
